Farahani, Behzad (born January 21, 1945, Arak city)

Behzad Farahani started his acting career in theatre at the age of 15, and subsequently worked in the field of radio.

In 1968, he decided to continue his education. A few years later, he traveled to France and took courses in Theatre Arts and studied directing, acting and screenwriting.

His debut movie was ‘Invasion’ (1970), written by him and directed by Hamid Mesdaq.

Farahani was also a football player in Iranian and French clubs.

The activities of this veteran artist include cinema, theatre and television acting, dubbing, presenting and directing in radio.

The Iranian actor has appeared in various movies such as: ‘Killing Dogs’ (2000),  ‘A Girl Named Tondar’ (2000), ‘The Juggler’ (2004), ‘The Wrong Wife’ (2006), ‘The Story of Mozzafar’ (2007) and ‘A Little Piece of Heaven’ (2008).

He has taken part in several dramas, including ‘Ra'na’ (1988-1990), ‘Imam Ali (PBUH)’ (1991), ‘The Magic Coat’ (1998-1999), ‘Missing’ (2009) and ‘Madineh’ (2014).
