French troupe set to attend Tehran-Mobarak International Puppet Festival expresses deep regret over US president’s withdrawal from Iran nuclear deal.
The French puppet troupe to be present at 17th edition of Iran International Puppet Festival said via email to the event organizers that they deeply regret Donald Trump’s recent pull-out from Iran nuclear deal.
The fest PR office quoting the French troupe's note as saying, "We are deeply saddened by Trump's recent move on Iran, and in particular the message sent to the people of the world.”
“That being said, art in general and theater in particular will make people better understand their world, and this is the goal that you will achieve with your event,” the troupe adds.
The 17th Tehran-Mobarak International Puppet Festival will be held some time in August 2018.
