Iranian feature ‘Searing Summer’ has become available for home viewing at the domestic film market of the country.
Directed by Ebrahim Irajzad, the movie was released last week, some months after coming down the silver screens.
'Searing Summer' follows the story of Nasrin who wants to get a divorce, but knows she won’t be able to get custody of her six-year-old daughter in the case.
Without her husband knowing, she moves to another part of town with her daughter. When her husband catches up with her, their lives take an unexpected turn.
The cast list for the flick includes Parinaz Izadyar, Mina Sadati, Ali Mosaffa, Yasna Mirtahmasb and Saber Abar.
Irajzad’s debut film raked in 13 nominations in various categories at the 35th edition of the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
The movie has so far succeeded to attend the 16th Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh and the 8th Beijing International Film Festival in China.
Izadyar and Sadati jointly received the Best Actress Award from the Dhaka International Film Festival.
