Iran short film 'Return' has won an award at 2018 Religion Today Film Festival in Italy.
Directed by Shahriar Pourseyedian, the short flick which is a product of Iranian Youth Cinema Society has received the special mention in the New Outlooks section of the film event.
The film is about a man named Rahim who has been in prison for 23 years. Now, he comes back to his hometown to visit his brother. The trip back home brings to light some unspeakable secret.
Launched in 1997, the Religion Today Film Festival is the first event of its kind dedicated to dialogue between cinema and religions. The festival has its foundation in the idea that cinema can offer a good workshop for mutual learning between different cultures and their unique imaginations.
The 21st edition of the festival took place on October 4-11, 2018.
