The editing for ‘Charlie in Tehran’ is scheduled to come to an end soon.
Directed by Mehdi Agha-Babaei, 90 percent of the movie's editing has been done and the technical stage will wrap up in a few days.
Rahman Rezaei, producer of the film announced that ‘Charlie in Tehran’ might appear on the silver screen before the 37th Fajr Film Festival.
The film is about a person named Salim (Charlie), who is an old actor donning Charlie Chaplin’s costume as "the Tramp" in public due to a chain of events.
The Tramp was British actor Charlie Chaplin's most memorable on-screen character and an icon in world cinema during the era of silent film.
Renowned Iranian comedian, Alireza Khamseh stars the leading role as "Charlie" in the film.
Other cast of ‘Charlie in Tehran’ are Amir Ghaffarmanesh, Mahshid Javadi, Afsaneh Chehrehazad and Hannaneh Ajorlou.
