The 60th Bilbao Int’l Festival of Documentary and Short Films is screening films by Iranian female directors.
The 60th edition of the Bilbao International Festival of Documentary and Short Films (ZINEBI) in Spain has been screening two dozen of films made by Iranian female directors.
Some 20 Iranian documentaries and short films have been selected to go on screen at a section dubbed “The Present is Female”, according to the festival's website.
'Gaze' directed by Farnoush Samadi, 'Icky' by Parastou Kardgar, 'Ascribed Achievements' made by Samaneh Shojaei, Maryam Khalilzadeh's 'Butterfly' and 'Double' by Ronak Jafari are among the Iranian lineup in the Spanish event.
Iranian director Qasideh Golmakani is a member of the Jury panel at the international section of the event.
The ZINEBI, one of the oldest festivals in Europe, kicked off on November 9 and will wrap up on November 16, 2018.
The festival is recognized as an international event of a competitive nature by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF).
