The first international presence of ‘Reverence’ by Sogol Rezvani is to occur at the 34th Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) in the US.
Rezvani was previously succeeded to grab award for Best Cinematography and Best Directing from the 35th Tehran International Short Film Festival.
As written in the synopsis, “Rana is involved in an emotional relationship with her theatre play fellow named Bahram; but, in the last night of their performance, she decides to close her eyes on the reality.”
The 14-min short film is also set to compete for Crystal Simorgh at the 37th Fajr Film Festival.
SBIFF has released a packed list of movies, tributes, and special presentations for its coming event January 30 through February 9.
There will be 63 world premieres and 59 US premieres at the event.
In addition to showcasing a diverse spectrum of films, tributes and galas, SBIFF also offers seminars with industry professionals including directors, writers, producers and women in the business panels, as well as Q&A sessions with a diverse selection of filmmakers.
