The Sofia MENAR Film Festival in Bulgaria is set to screen seven Iranian films for its 11th annual event.
With the festival dedicating an entire focus section to modern Iranian films, the seven films will be a part of the festival’s ‘New Iranian Cinema’ segment.
The film’s that will be taking part in the ‘New Iranian Cinema’ focus are:
‘Appendix’ directed by Hossein Namazi
‘Colchicum’ directed by Mohammadreza Rasouli
‘Leaf of Life’ directed by Ebrahim Mokhtari
‘Mothering’ directed by Roqieh Tavakkoli
‘Orange Days’ directed by Arash Lahooti
‘Sheeple’ directed by Houman Seyyedi
‘The Dark Room’ directed by Rouhollah Hejazi
According to its website, the Sofia MENAR Film Festival “presents the best of Middle East and North Africa cinema productions, including feature films, documentaries and short projects.”
The festival is currently underway in the Bulgarian capital city of Sofia until January 31, 2019.
