Iranian short film ‘The Day of Duty’ is to be featured at Taoba International Youth Film Festival in Georgia.
Directed by Ali Khoshdouni Farahani, ‘The Day of Duty’ will take part in the 2nd edition of the Georgian event.
“During a ritual ceremony in a multi-grade school, Pardis, a high school student, is obligated to accompany an elementary student called Naghmeh. To maintain the order of the ceremony in front of the higher officials, the head master of the school is forced to put Pardis in charge and by doing so, introduce her not as a student but as Naghmeh's older sister,” a synopsis for the film reads.
The short has also made its ways to this year’s edition of Beeston Film Festival in the United Kingdom.
Taoba International Youth Film Festival is the largest festival of its kind in Georgia.
The festival will be held in the capital, Tbilisi, on April 11-15, 2019.
