Iranian short ‘Dissect’ makes it to the 59th Krakow Film Festival in Poland.
Iranian short ‘Dissect’ (Tashreeh), directed by Siavash Shahabi, has made it to the 59th edition of the Krakow Film Festival in Poland.
‘Dissect’ is the only Iranian short film participating at the international short film competition of the Polish event.
“Police have entered a school to investigate the sudden death of a student,” a synopsis for the film reads.
The winner title of the Best Short Film award at the Krakow will reportedly be introduced to the Academy Awards.
The Krakow Film Festival is one of Europe's oldest events dedicated to documentary, animation and other short film forms.
The gala aims to review and promote documentary, short animated and fiction films. The films are screened in four competitions as well as in non-competitive sections.
The 59th edition of the festival will be held on May 26-June 2, 2019.
