The production stage for the 4th sequel to ‘Matrix’ trilogy has been started.
According to Collider online magazine, the director of the trilogy Chad Stahelski reveals that production stage for ‘Matrix 4’ is currently underway but this time under the supervision of a new director, John Wick.
Around 20 years ago the first part of ‘Matrix’ trilogy was produced and stars like Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, and Joe Pantoliano took part in the project.
‘Matrix’ depicts a dystopian future in which humanity is unknowingly trapped inside a simulated reality, the Matrix, created by thought-capable machines (artificial beings) to distract humans while using their bodies as an energy source.
‘Matrix’ trilogy is among world’s top hits at the box office ratings. ‘Matrix 1’ succeeded to rake $460 million and ‘Matrix 2’ raked $750 million at the ticket window.
