Iranian movie ‘Truck’ is slated to be screened at Duhok International Film Festival in Iraq.
The 7th edition of the Iraqi festival will host ‘Truck’ directed by Kambuzia Partovi.
‘Truck’ is scheduled to be screened at the opening ceremony of the festival and will vie at the competition section of the event.
The film makes Partovi's first feature film after 13 years.
‘Truck’ was premiered during the 36th Fajr Film Festival in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
The movie recounts the story of an Izadi woman who becomes homeless after the Iraqi ethnic and religious minority is attacked by Daesh forces.
Saeed Aghakhani, Niki Karimi, Nasrin Moradi and Ramin Rastad star in the film.
The Duhok IFF is an annual film festival held in Duhok, Iraqi Kurdistan Region. Each year the Duhok IFF presents new and exciting cinema from the Kurdish cinema and beyond.
The 7th edition of the festival is slated for September 9-16, 2019.
