The 21st POFF Shorts (international short film and animation festival), a sub-festival of the Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia, has shortlisted Iranian short ‘Funfair’ to vie in its short film competition.
Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, ‘Funfair’ will take part at the festival’s Shorts International Live Action Competition next month.
“Majid, a financially struggling man, comes up with a ploy in order to better the life of his wife Sara,” a synopsis for the film reads.
‘Funfair’ was screened at the 17th edition of the Tirana International Film Festival in Albania last month.
Earlier report said that Iranian feature film ‘When the Moon was Full’ would attend the 23rd Black Nights Film Festival, which is scheduled to take place on November 15-December 1, 2019. The movie will compete at the festival’s premiere competition program – the Official Selection.
