Iranian series ‘Kimia’ themed on the country's contemporary history is set to air on ifilm English TV channel starting from Friday.
The long-running series with more than 100 episodes will air every day at 20:00 GMT. Each episode will be repeated the next day at 01:00, 07:00, and 12:00 GMT.
‘Kimia’, directed by Javad Afshar, tells the story of a woman who was present during extremely important events in Iran’s contemporary history.
The series revolves around Kimia Parsa, a young girl living in the city of Khoramshahr, which is played by popular actress Mehraveh Sharifinia.
Besides Sharifinia, the series is starring Pouriya Poursorkh, Mehdi Pakdel, and Niki Karimi.
The veteran actors Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Reza Kianian, Hassan Pourshirazi, and Mehdi Soltani-Sarvestani have also appeared in the TV show.
