Iranian doc ‘Gonj’ to compete at Spanish fest

Iranian doc ‘Gonj’ is to compete at the Torelló Mountain and Adventure Film Festival in Spain.

Iranian documentary ‘Gonj’ (honey bee) has been selected to compete at the 38th edition of the Torelló Mountain and Adventure Film Festival (TMAFF) in Spain.

Directed by Arman Qolipour-Dashtaki, the documentary depicts the life of a diligent boy, who tries hard to reach bee hives in high mountains.

According to the official website of the TMAFF, “it aims to promote, coordinate, organize and encourage research, dissemination and knowledge of cultural activities related to the mountains and nature in all areas, their possible expressions and aspects”.

The annually-held festival hosts the best films from around the world with the theme of mountains and the culture of highlands.

The 38th edition of the event is slated for November 13-22, 2020.
