Taos Shorts filmfest to host ‘Inner Self’

Iranian ‘Inner Self’ is to participate in the Taos Shortz Film Fest in US.

Iranian short film ‘Inner Self’ has been selected to participate in the Taos Shortz Film Fest in the US.

Directed by Mohammad Hormozi, the 15-minute short will be among the competition titles of the American fest’s 15th edition.

‘Inner Self’ is about a female violinist who wants to enter an office but as she is not attired appropriately for the place, she must stay in the waiting room. While waiting, she is inspired by the things that happen around her there.

The short has so far been showcased at a number of international film events; including the Grand Off film festival in Poland and the Dhaka Int’l Film Festival in Bangladesh.

It has also won some awards such as the best narrative short title at the Fayetteville Film Fest in the US and a special mention at the Akbank Sanat Short Film Festival in Turkey.

Being an outstanding cultural event in the US, The Taos Shortz Film Festival provides filmmakers with a venue to showcase their work, participate in workshops, panels, and network with fellow filmmakers, media companies, producers and distributors.

The upcoming edition of the TSFF is scheduled for March 19-21, 2021 in New Mexico.
