The final episode of the series, produced by Mohsen Chegini and directed by Soroush Sehhat, will be aired on April 8, 2021.
The 57-episode sitcom revolves around the life of a psychologist named Nima, who is constantly being underestimated by his family and colleagues, and failing to establish a place for himself as a successful doctor in society.
Nima rents an office in a building filled with doctors who don’t accept him as a real doctor due to his graduating from an online university. Meanwhile, his ex-wife practices in the same building as a psychiatrist, with his current wife being one of his former patients and extremely jealous of his ex.
The sitcom depicts the everyday challenges facing Nima, including the various patients that visit him; his financial troubles such as rent, business expenses, and his ex-wife’s alimony payments; his current wife who suffers from obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD); and a secretary who suffers from extremely weak short-term memory.
The main cast for ‘Medical Building’ will feature Bijan Banafsheh-Khah, Shaqayeq Dehqan, Houman Barqnavard, Behnam Tashakkor, Mona Farjad, and Rambod Javan.
‘Medical Building’, produced in 2011, will be replaced by the new series ‘Flat Tire’ made by Borzou Niknejad.
