The inaugural edition of the Path of Love International Festival of Film and Photo on Imam Reza (AS) as well as the Arbaeen rituals will be held in the Iranian city of Mashhad and the Iraqi city of Karbala.
The film and photo festival will run from October 23 to 27, organizers announced on Wednesday.
Applicants can submit their works in different fields of the festival, including feature-length, short films, documentaries, screenplays, TV series and photos.
The holy city of Mashhad was selected as the Cultural Capital of the Muslim World for 2017 during the 7th conference of the ISESCO member states in the Algerian capital city of Algiers in 2007.
The northeastern Iranian city is also home to the holy shrine of the 8th Imam of Shia Muslims, Imam Reza (AS).
The holy city of Karbala in Iraq is home to the holy shrine of Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) grandson, Imam Hussein (AS).
Arbaeen rituals are held around the world in commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS).
