Iranian documentary ‘Ranger & Leopard’ has been set to be screened at the 7th edition of the Silk Road International Film Festival (SRIFF) in Ireland.
Directed by Fathollah Amiri, the 53-minute documentary is to represent Iran at the Irish film event on Friday, March 9, 2018, at The New Theatre in Dublin.
The doc is about Halvani, a hard-working ranger who hears about the presence of a Persian Leopard in the area under his monitoring in the central Iranian city of Isfahan; but nobody has spotted any Persian Leopard there for about forty years. Halvani gets suspicious that there are traces of Persian Leopard, but he has to face lots of problems to reach it.
The 7th SRIFF has also scheduled to showcase Iranian short film 'Numbness' directed by Milad Jarmouz.
Founded in 2012, the Silk Road International Film Festival is an internationally acclaimed film event which is held in March every year. The festival also holds year-round screenings, talks and events.
The 2018 edition of the SRIFF is slated for March 7-11, 2018, in Dublin, Ireland.
