International release dates have been announced for the Iranian film 'Beyond the Clouds' by director Majid Majidi.
Iranian filmmaker Majidi's maiden India-set project 'Beyond the Clouds' is scheduled to release in 34 territories around the world in the coming month.
The film will see a release in the US, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Maldives, Luxembourg, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia and Pakistan.
It will also be released at over 70 screens in the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) regions, including Dubai, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar.
The film will open in the UAE and PGCC regions on April 19. In North America, UK and Singapore, the film will release on April 20.
The release date for Australia, New Zealand and Fiji has yet to be specified.
During phase two of its release, the film will open in Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and Russia.
Majidi’s melodrama is the tale of a wild kid who deals drugs and crisscrosses with his motorbike across the city to make the next drop. He reunites with his estranged sister, Taara, in time to become her lifeline after she is being jailed for attempted murder while defending herself.
