Iranian short film 'Retouch' has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 13th edition of the Leiden International Film Festival in the Netherlands.
Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, ‘Retouch’ is to represent Iran at the competition section of the film event.
Co-produced by Kaveh Mazaheri and the Iranian Young Cinema Society, ‘Retouch’ tells the story of a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes while she cannot do anything but to witness the unfolding of this tragic event.
'Retouch' has recently won a series of top prizes from a number of international festivals, including the 4th Short Movie Club Film Festival in Belarus, the 9th session of Cinalfama Lisbon’s International Film Festival in Portugal, the 16th Audi Dublin International Film Festival in Ireland and the 14th TALCA International Short Film Festival in Chile.
Founded in 2006, the Leiden International Film Festival is now one of the most important Dutch film festivals. The 2018 program features around 100 films from all over the world.
The 13th edition of the Leiden International Film Festival is slated for November 2-11, 2018.
