Iran short film ‘Forouzan’ has succeeded to receive Best Short Film Award from the first edition of Astoria Film Festival in New York, the US.
Directed by Mirabbas Khosravinejad, the flick was recognized as the Best Short Film by the American film event.
‘Forouzan’ narrates the story of a young woman whose husband has recently passed away. She lives with her two young children in a village, and protects a herd of sheep against the attack of thieves at night.
The flick has so far succeeded to attend the High Peak Independent Film Festival in the UK, the Melbourne City Independent Film Awards (MCIFA) in Australia, and the Pickurflick Indie Film Festival in India.
The 2018 edition of Astoria Film Festival was held on June 8-9, in New York, the US.
