‘Midday Adventures: Trace of Blood’ directed by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian, voted one of the 37th annual Fajr Film Festival’s (FFF) best films by the audience so far, has released a brand new trailer.
A sequel to the original 'Midday Adventures', the film is a political drama based on true events from the early days of the government of the Islamic Republic, with many of its screenings either sold-out or over 90% booked at this year’s festival.
At a time of heightened political tensions, a rogue terrorist group known as the MKO begins to assassinate government officials and innocent civilians. Meanwhile, a group of brave, selfless members of the revolutionary guards begin to hunt them down in a set of sophisticated intelligence operations.
The original 'Midday Adventures' had won numerous awards, including the Crystal Simorgh for Best Film at the 35th annual Fajr Film Festival in 2017.
Founded in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival is an annual event held on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, celebrating Iranian cinema.
Over the years, the event has played a key role in the development of the Iranian film industry.
This year’s festival, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, is currently underway with the closing ceremony scheduled for February 11, 2019.
