Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia in Japan is scheduled to host Iranian animation ‘Mr. Deer’.
Directed by Mojtaba Mousavi, the motion animation will compete at the 2019 edition of the festival.
‘Mr. Deer’ is narrated in a modern but ruined subway in an unknown time.

Produced by Elaheh Farnia, ‘Mr. Deer’ previously received an award from the international competition section of the 36th Fajr Int'l Film Festival as well as Special Award of the 28th Zagreb Animation Festival (Animafest) in Croatia.
The Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia is accredited by the Academy Awards and is one of the largest international short film festivals in Asia, according to the website of the event.
The program aims “to introduce people with various backgrounds and share their lives and emotions to spread the importance of giving a hand to people around you, and realize how wonderful and grateful we are to live in peace,” the website of the festival reads.
The gala takes place in Tokyo, in June every year. It has been running since 1999.
