Iran’s Niloufar Khoshkholq has won the Best Actress award at the Hyperwave Film Awards in the US.
Khoshkholq received the award for her role in the short film ‘Fog’, co-directed by Ali Shourvarzi and Hossein Mahrouqi.
Written by Reza Sheikhlani, Mahrouqi and Shourvarzi, the film narrates the story of a female dead-washer who has not washed any dead child since the death of her own kid.
After an unexpected turn of events, the woman is forced to wash a dead child, but she changes her mind.
‘Fog’, produced by Mehdi Aslani, reportedly participated at the US competition this May.
The Hyperwave Film Awards is a seasonal international film competition and awards event.
Winners of each season will advance to the live Annual Event which will take place in the city of Los Angeles on November 14, 2019.
