Iranian short film ‘Return’ is slated to be screened at the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival (GAIFF) in Armenia.
Directed by Shahriar Pourseyedian, the short film will vie at the short film competition section of the event.
The festival had removed the short film section for the past few years, but this year, the short competition section is back to the main category of the event.
‘Return’ is about a man named Rahim who has been in prison for 23 years. Now, he comes back to his hometown to visit his brother. The trip back home brings to light some unspeakable secrets.
‘Return’ previously participated at the 21st Religion Today Film Festival in Italy where it received the special mention in the New Outlooks section.
The short film also grabbed nom for best film award at the 19th Izmir International Short Film Festival.
The 16th edition of the festival is slated for July 7-14, 2019.
