The 7th edition of the Shahr (Urban) International Film Festival in Tehran has set to screen Iranian feature ‘Yellow’.
Directed by Mostafa Taqizadeh, ‘Yellow’ is about people’s relations, goals and their achievements.
The film poses a question: what each of us would do and choose if we were in the Iranian scientists’ place?
A brief synopsis of ‘Yellow’, slated to hit Iranian cinema theaters soon, reads “We are strange people... Our present is very different than our future.”
‘Yellow’ features popular Iranian actors such as Bahram Radan, Sareh Bayat, Mehrdad Seddiqian, Bahareh Kianafshar, Shahram Haqiqatdoust, Alireza Ostadi, Hossein Mehri, Anahita Dargahi, Morteza Taqizadeh, Amir-Ali Nabavian, and Ali Salehi.
The movie has received two awards for best director and best actress at the 20th Shanghai International Film Festival in China in June 2017 and the awards for best picture as well as best script at the third "Bridge of Arts" International Motivational Film Festival in Russia.
The Shahr International Film Festival is Iran’s most important cinematic event related to urban management in promotion of appropriate urban and industrial life patterns.
It is organized annually by the Urban Image Institute, the Artistic and Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality.
The Shahr Film Festival aims to identify creative and innovative cinematic works of urban life and create a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences among world cities.
Films that use an eloquent artistic vision to promote a blissful human life will be considered for the competition section, according to the festival's website.
The 7th Shahr International Film Festival, headed by Hashem Mirzakhani, is slated for July 17-22, 2019, in Tehran.
