The list of bestselling films at the Iranian box office chart has been released.
According to the Cinematicket official website, the bestselling films of Iranian domestic cinema theaters for July 12-19 are as follows:
‘Night of the Full Moon’, directed by Narges Abyar, (Weekly gross 15,367,910,000 Rials, Total gross, 131,485,340,000 Rials).
The movie is about Abdul-Hamid Rigi, the younger brother of Abdul-Malik Rigi who was a notorious terrorist and former leader of the Jundallah terrorist group in southeastern Iran.
‘The Warden’, directed by Nima Javadi, (Weekly gross 14,910,890,000 Rials, Total gross, 91,526,850,000 Rials).
The flick depicts an old prison in the late 1960s in southern Iran to be evacuated as it is close to the city’s airport which is under development.
The head of the prison, Major Nemat Jahed, and his officers are in the midst of transferring the prisoners to the new facility.
‘Texas 2’, directed by Masoud Atyabi, (Weekly gross 11,777,760,000 Rials, Total gross 104,065,680,000 Rials).
“In order to make his dream come true, Bahram adopts a Brazilian child to increase his chances of moving there. The next step which involves a money transfer to Sasan in order to complete the transaction is where it all begins,” a short synopsis of the flick reads.
‘Snake Venom’, directed by Javad Razavian, (Weekly gross 7,751,530,000 Rials, Total gross 31,881,750,000 Rials).
The film is about a notary public who has recently moved to Tehran. He meets one of his old classmates who holds an old grudge on him. The classmate won’t rest until taking revenge.
‘X Large’ directed by Mohsen Tavakoli, (Weekly gross 6,864,290,000 Rials, Total gross, 17,191,080,000 Rials).
The movie narrates the story of 3 contemporary young adults who after being released from prison start following their dreams but some unexpected happenings occur for them.
