Iranian hit series ‘Setayesh 3’ releases latest onset photos prior to mid-September premiere.
The long-awaited third season, written by Saeed Matlabi, directed by Saeed Soltani, and produced by Arman Zarinkoub is scheduled to premiere on Iranian national television beginning September 14th.
Currently undergoing post-production, the series began shooting in March 2018 in the capital city of Tehran. After filming in various locations including the southern city of Bandar Abbas and the northern city of Ramsar, shooting for the series finally wrapped up last winter.
‘Setayesh’ is a story about a man named Taher who has just finished two years of military service, defending Iran against Saddam Hussein's war of aggression.
His friend, who has deserted the frontline, wants Taher to help smuggle him out of the country. Despite his better judgment, and at the insistence of his friend's sister, Setayesh, he agrees.
Taher and Setayesh eventually grow fond of each other and make plans to marry. But a tragedy causes a great gap between their families that threatens to keep the two from ever finding happiness together.
The first two seasons of ‘Setayesh’ are set in early 1980s Iran with the story continuing until the present day.
The third season will be a prequel to the first and second seasons, consisting of 30 episodes, focusing on the relationships between the characters of the first two seasons.
Daryoush Arjmand, Sima Tirandaz, Mehdi Solouki, Narges Mohammadi, Qorban Najafi, Fariba Naderi, Sina Shafiee, Farhad Jam, Keyhan Maleki, Amir-Mohammad Zand, Kamand Amir-Soleimani, Shahram Pourassad, Mahtaj Nojoumi, Atash Taqipour, Mehrnoush Sattari, and Ali Milani are among the cast of the third season.
