The forthcoming edition of the Palace International Short Film Festival is scheduled to screen three Iranian titles.
The 16th edition of this Academy Award qualifying festival for shorts will host ‘The Sea Swells’ by Amir Gholami in its official section. The short is about an old man who lives in the middle of the sea while war has surrounded him.
Directed by Hamidreza Arashkia, ‘Last Season’ will also compete in the experimental film category of the event.
The flick narrates the life story of a man whose life has more than four seasons.
The student film section of the Bulgarian film event will screen ‘One Person’ by Mahboubeh Kalaee which is a story about love and loneliness.
According to the official website of the festival, the Palace Short Filmfest is an established international festival dedicated to short films, new media and digital arts up to 27 minutes in length.
The main purpose of the festival is to present and promote the contemporary short film art from Bulgaria, Europe, and the world.
The festival is set for September 19- 26, 2019 in Varna, Bulgaria.
