Iranian director Hamid Nematollah begins filming for his brand new film ‘The Killer and the Savage’.
With details yet to be released on the plot, some reports indicate that Nematollah seeks to make his most distinct film of the last few years with ‘The Killer and the Savage’.
Starring in the film will be Amin Hayaee, Leila Hatami, Setareh Eskandari, and Shahram Haghighatdoust among others.
This will be the first time Amin Hayaee and Leila Hatami star in a film together.
The two held lead roles in Nematollah’s last two films 'Subdued' and ‘Flaming’.
Award-winning scriptwriter and director Hamid Nematollah began his career in cinema as a director’s assistant for Masoud Kimiaee’s 1995 film ‘Banquet’.
His directorial debut ‘Boutique’ received a nomination for Best Film at the Iran Cinema Celebration Awards and was awarded Best Film at the Fajr Film Festival.
The director's 2008 film ‘Down and Out’ which was aired on ifilm gained a Certificate of Merit for the Best Screenplay from the Fajr Film Festival.
