‘Repression’ to compete in APSA in Australia

‘Repression’ is to vie at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) in Australia.

Iran feature film ‘Repression’ by Reza Gouran has been selected by the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) in Australia to take part in the competition.

“He did something that made loyalty our day and night habit. Now, we are all faithful, but the one whom we are loyal to has been dead for a long time,” reads a synopsis for the flick.

The film is starring Baran Kosari, Sara Bahrami, Pardis Ahmadieh, Artin Golchin, Roya Afshar, Asal Qaraee, and Jamshid Hashempour.

Earlier reports said that ‘Castle of Dreams’, ‘The Warden’ and ‘6.5 per Meter’ will also compete in the Aussie event.

The nominations for the awards will be announced in mid-October and the nominees will be invited to attend the awards ceremony, which is set to be held in the Australian city of Brisbane on November 21, 2019.

The APSA is aimed to honor and promote the films, actors, directors, and cultures of the Asia-Pacific region to a global audience.
