Dublin Filmfest awards ‘Driving Lessons’

Iran short film ‘Driving Lessons’ succeeds to receive Best Film Award from Dublin Women Film Festival in Ireland.

Iran short film ‘Driving Lessons’ has succeeded to receive Best Film Award from Dublin Women Film Festival in Ireland.

Directed by Marzieh Riahi, the short film attended the international section of the Irish film event and won Best Film Award.

The film’s cast will be made up of actors Linda Kiani, Alireza Thanifar, Salar Khamseh, and Sanaz Mesbah.

The short has previously competed at the Tampere Film Festival in Finland, the Cartagena Film Festival in Colombia, the Tribeca Film Festival in the US, and the Edmonton International Film Festival in Canada.

Dublin Women Film Festival has established firm roots on Dublin’s cultural calendar, shining a spotlight on women in film. The festival promotes and celebrates female filmmakers, hoping to inspire and empower others to get involved in filmmaking.

The 2019 edition of the event was held on August 22-24, in Dublin, Ireland.
