Directed by Maryam Samadi, ‘The Summer of Swans’ short film has been selected to go on screen at Australian Heart of Gold International Film Festival.
Samadi’s short narrates the story of Rasoul who is a disabled boy. Rasoul who believes in his grandmother’s tale about the healing powers of swans wishes to see one of them. Once, other children of the village see some swans while fishing in the pond. They come to Rasoul and recount the event. Rasoul decides to go to the pond with the boys and make his dream come true.
The 4-day Australian fest will screen more than 130 short films of all genres.
Moreover, some programs such as Workshops, free events, discussions and family activities are included.
The twelfth edition of the festival is slated for October 3-6, 2019.
