Iranian short documentary ‘Native’ has been selected to vie at The Hague Global Cinema Festival (HGCF) in the Netherlands.
Directed by Kioumars Sarshar, the 15-minute documentary narrates the story of an old man whose children are after a job to immigrate to the city. The old man has to work in a salt mine and sell the salt with much difficulty.
The short has received US Independent Shorts Awards for Best Short Documentary in February 2019.
HGCF celebrates the art of filmmaking. The fest welcomes the works of independent filmmakers.
Seminars, workshops, and other discussion sessions are a part of the event.
The first edition of the fest is slated for November 15-17.
