Iran short film ‘The Souvenir’ by Bakhtiar Khalili has grabbed a competition spot at the 6th edition of Kolibri Int’l Festival of Audiovisual Production for children and Adolescence.
‘The Souvenir’ displays a window into rural life in the Iranian province of Kordestan.
Khalili’s short film previously attended the 10th edition of the Walthamstow International Film Festival where it won the admiration of the festival’s jury, commenting “High commendations to the film from Iran with beautiful shots and performances from the lead actors.”
In addition, it stood as the runner-up in Best Short Film category of the same film festival.
The Kolibri Festival aims to promote quality audiovisual productions for children and adolescents, generating a space for reflection and an exchange between them.
Likewise, the idea is to create a national and international network to disseminate educational audiovisual productions for children and adolescents from different countries and continents.
The film event is slated for October 7-13, 2019 in Bolivia.
