Iranian screenplay ‘Like a Secret’ becomes US fest finalist

Iranian screenplay ‘Like a Secret’ becomes finalist at the Flicker’s Rohde Island Int’l filmfest in the US.

Written by Saeed Zamanian, Iranian screenplay ‘Like a Secret’ has become a finalist at the 23rd Flicker’s Rohde Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) in the US.

‘Like a Secret’ and 41 other screenplays were selected from a total of 543 submitted titles. The picked screenplays will compete at the final stage of the event.

A brief synopsis for the script reads “Now, he is living in his own world”.

Zamanian has so far developed a good number of screenplays some of which have attended international and national film events.

His short film script titled ‘The Feast of the Goat’ has grabbed the Best Script award at the Film Independent’s Script Awards in the US.

‘Like a Secret’ has previously been selected as a finalist at the 10th Oaxaca Film Festival in Mexico and also won the Best Short Screenplay Award at the Florence Film Award in Italy.

The RIIFF provides an opportunity for filmmakers to distribute their films.

It aims to promote contact among film directors, producers, distributors, backers and audiences.

The winners will be announced on October 29, 2019.
