Iran shot film ‘White Tree’ has been lauded at the Children’s Rights Festival (CRF) in Lebanon.
Directed by Farima khalili and produced by Meysam Jamali, ‘White Tree’ grabbed Jury’s Honorable Mention award at the 1st edition of the Lebanese film event.
“An expressive film about a child bride and how she feels about her situation,” reads as a brief synopsis of the short.

The Children's Rights Festival is a week-long festival with the aim to shed light on the necessity of a child's upbringing in a supportive environment, filled with love and understanding, in order to ensure the harmonious development of his or her personality.
The first edition of the CRF took place at the Irwin Theater, Lebanese American University on November 15-23, 2019.
