Iranian film ‘Seven and a Half’ has been selected to compete at the 8th edition of the Persian Film Festival in Australia.
Directed by Navid Mahmoudi, the film is a co-production of Iran and Afghanistan.
The film narrates the story of seven Iranian and Afghan girls in seven episodes. The girls are to marry on Friday night, but all of them are engaged in some challenges.
The fest screens the best of Iranian cinema and the Persian speaking world in Australia.
Established in 2011, the fest showcases films from Persian-speaking filmmakers from Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. The fest holds master classes and cultural events.
The 2019 edition is set for December 4-8, 2019.
