ifilm English TV to start airing ‘Shokraneh’

Iranian series ‘Shokraneh’ is to go on playlist of ifilm English TV.

Iranian series ‘Shokraneh’ has been scheduled to be on the channel’s playlist, ifilm English website has reported.

Airing of the series, produced by Mansour Sohrabpour and directed by Saeed Soltani, is to be started on November 28, 2019.

‘Shokraneh’ revolves around Hamed whose uncle has been dead for more than thirty years. In his youth he had met and married a Tajik girl while studying abroad in Germany.

Hamed’s father never accepted her, and after his brother died, he drove her off and took the land his brother had given her.

Now he’s feeling guilty and has sent his son on a mission to find her. But will Hamed be able to do enough to make up for his father’s past sins?

Among the cast list are the late Hassan Joharchi, Pouriya Poursorkh, Farhad Qaemian, Maryam Kaviani, Atefeh Razavi, Houshang Tavakkoli, and a number of Tajik actors.

‘Shokraneh’, produced in 2007, is to replace the series ‘Mirza Koochack Khan’ to be broadcast at 19:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 03:00, 08:00 and 14:00. ‘Shokraneh’ is comprised of 28 episodes.
