The Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) in Bangladesh has set to host Iran's ‘Patio’.
Directed by Maryam Bahrololoumi, the film will be screened at the Women Filmmakers section of the event.
‘Patio’ appeared on the Iranian silver screens last year.
The film which narrates a feminine story is based on a script written by Hamed Qasemi titled ‘The Roof Bell’.
After making some fictional and experimental short films, ‘Patio’ is the first indie experience by Bahrololoumi as director with cinematographer Massoud Amini-Tayarani and sound recordist Ali Kian-Ersi.
Some of the actors starring in the film include Behnaz Jafari, Ali Yaqoubi, Babak Ansari, Pouriya Poursorkh and Karim Amini.
Established in 1992, the Dhaka International Film Festival is a biennial held in Bangladesh.
The 17th DIFF, themed 'Better Film, Better Audience, Better Society', is slated for January 11-18, 2019.
