Hassan Dezvareh has been named as a juror for the upcoming edition of the Minimalen Short Film Festival in Norway.
Dezvareh, a professor and former counselor to the chief executive of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, will serve on the jury of the 32nd edition of the Norwegian event.
The Minimalen is “an annual, independent short film event, covering new productions from Norway, the Nordic Countries and worldwide”, according to an online festival submission platform.
The Minimalen, which was founded in 1988, aims at finding new ways to use the film as a medium.
“This often means independent productions with a free spirit attitude to filmmaking and an emphasis on images and film language more than words,” the platform explained.
The 32nd edition of the Minimalen Short Film Festival will take place on January 21-26, 2020.
