Iranian short ‘Braceball’ has made it to the upcoming edition of the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival in the US.
The 19th edition of the KIDS FIRST! will screen ‘Braceball’ next March, the Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported.
Written and directed by Reihaneh Mortezaeenia, ‘Braceball’ narrates the story of a handicapped boy who is fond of football. Despite his disability, the boy does his best to make his dreams come true.
‘Braceball’ was crowned the Best Short Film Theme Childhood at the 5th Atlantic International Film Festival in Colombia.
Launched in 2000, the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival “showcases new and classic children's films from independent and student filmmakers worldwide as well as some studio films”, the event’s website reads.
The 19th edition of the gala will take place on March 14-28, 2020.
