Storyline for the latest offering of internationally renowned Iranian director Majid Majidi at 2020 Fajr Film Festival has been revealed.
Majidi's 'The Sun' is set to compete for an award at the 38th edition of Fajr fest in Iran.
Javad Ezzati, Tannaz Tabatabaee and Ali Nasirian costar in the flick.
Majidi has also directed movie ‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God’ (2015) which enjoys domestic and international cast and crew.
For ‘Children of Heaven’, he bagged Audience Award from Warsaw International Film Festival, Best Foreign Film Award from Newport International Film Festival, FIPRESCI Prize - Special Mention from Montréal World Film Festival, Grand Prix des Amériques from Montréal World Film Festival, People's Choice Award from Montréal World Film Festival, Prize of the Ecumenical Jury from Montréal World Film Festival, C.I.F.E.J. Award from Oulu International Children's Film Festival, and Lucas Award from Lucas - International Festival of Films for Children and Young People.
The 38th Fajr Film Festival is set to kick off on February 1, 2020 and will run until February 11 in Tehran.
This is while the international version of the festival will be held in April 2020.
