The released poster for the film that counts as its director’s debut feature has been sketched by Mohammad-Hossein Houshmandi. The logo for the film has been designed by Mohammad Rouholamini.
‘Butterfly Stroke’ is currently in competition at both New Look and Main Competition sections of the 38th Fajr film Festival.
The film narrates the story of some ostracized people from the poverty-stricken neighborhoods in Tehran. These people have to pretend to be strong if they want to survive the brutality of their environment.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
The 38th Fajr Film Festival kicked off on February 1, 2020 and will run till February 11 in Tehran.
