‘Malakout’ to be in contention at Galactic Imaginarium Filmfest

Iranian animation ‘Malakout’ is to attend the Galactic Imaginarium Film Festival in Spain.

Iranian short animated piece ‘Malakout’ is scheduled to attend the Galactic Imaginarium Film Festival in Spain.

Farnouosh Abedi’s ‘Malakout’ will be vying at the competition section of the 7th edition of Galactic film festival.

The animated flick is about a piano player who tries to bring his wife back to life but the deal awakens the devil inside him.

‘Malakout’ recently received the honorary diploma at the Silk Road International Film Festival (SRIFF) in Dublin, Ireland.

Also, ‘Malakout’ will be soon attending the competition program of the 35th Guadalajara International Film Festival in Mexico where it will be considered qualified for the next year's Academy in case it succeeds to win the best animation award.

The Galactic Imaginarium Film Festival is one of the few Sci-fi and Fantasy Film Festivals in Eastern Europe, which brings a fresh concept of gathering together, through live video streaming, the film crew, and the film consumers.

It will have a Jury Award and a Popular Award, for both Sci-fi and Fantasy sections.

The upcoming edition of the event will be held on May 30-31, 2020 in Lida, western Belarus, Spain.
