‘Goodbye Olympic’ to attend HAAPIFEST

Iran’s short ‘Goodbye Olympic’ is to participate at the Houston Asian American Pacific Islander Film Festival in the US.

Iran’s short ‘Goodbye Olympic’ has been set to participate at the Houston Asian American Pacific Islander Film Festival (HAAPIFEST) in the US.

The film is Mojtaba Pourbakhshi’s directorial debut.

“A girl is a champion of kayak waiting to leave for the race, held in France, for the Olympic qualification. The departure of the kayaking team will be canceled due to the emergence of various problems,” a synopsis for the film reads.

Earlier reports said ‘Goodbye Olympic’ will attend the West Chester Film Festival in the US as well.

Launched in 2004, the Houston Asian American Pacific Islander Film Festival aims to highlight and celebrate the diversity of AAPI culture, food, and family, support AAPI artists and filmmakers, and to share the untold AAPI experience for the Greater Houston metropolitan area through edutainment.

The 2020 edition of the HAAPIFEST will take place on June 4-7.
