The 18th edition of Iran’s International Puppet festival, Tehran-Mobarak, has attracted many artists.

Mitra Karim Khani, the director of the secretariat of the 18th edition of the festival, said 366 works have applied to take part in the event by the February 22 deadline.

Golzar Mohammadi was named as the secretary of the 18th edition of the festival, but she passed away at the age of 42 earlier this month after suffering from cancer.

The 18th edition of Tehran-Mobarak will take place next summer.

The festival aims to pave the way for the quantitative and qualitative growth of puppet shows, and to create a platform for exchanging experiences.
