Netflix raises fund to help coronavirus crisis

Netflix specifies 100 dollars fund to help those affected by pandemic of COVID-19.

Netflix has specified a million dollars fund to the entertainment staff that have been affected by the pandemic of COVID-19.

This crisis that has cost entertainment workers their jobs and source of income has prompted the American media services and production company to help those who have been affected by it.

The set up fund will go to the filmmaking staff such as hairstylists, electricians, carpenters and drivers who have supported Netflix projects.

According to Ted Sarandos, Netflix's chief content officer, these people supported Netflix “through the good times, and the company wants to help them through these hard times”.

The company will also be reaching out to the filmmakers in other countries where they have huge production bases with giving them a sum of 15 million dollars of the fund.

Coronavirus appeared first in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December and has since spread globally. The World Health Organization has declared it a global health emergency.
