Iranian actor Hamid Farrokhnejad has spoken English in Iran-India coproduction ‘The Devil’s Daughter.

Directed by Qorban Mohammadpour, the film is the second collaboration of the director with Indian cinema after ‘Salaam Mumbai’.

The flick narrates the story of the devil’s daughter that seeking for God’s forgiveness comes to earth to find a way to make up for what her father has done.

Trying to find a medium to compensate for her dad’s wrongdoings, she finds a man who must help her.

The man’s role is brought to life by Farrokhnejad, who is no stranger to ifilm viewers as he has played in a number of series and movies aired by the channel.

Sporting new looks, including a long beard, Iranian actor Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia has played two roles in ‘The Devil's Daughter’, including the role of a Daesh member.

Born in 1969, actor, screenwriter and film and television director Farrokhnejad holds a degree in theater directing from Tehran University’s Faculty of Fine Arts.

He began his career as an assistant director, and launched his acting career by appearing in Khosrow Sinaee’s ‘In the Alleys of Love’ in 1991.

His acting skills was first noticed in 1999 when he played a role in 'The Bride of Fire', which was his second movie, and was rewarded Crystal Simorgh at the 18th International Fajr Film Festival for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

The script of the movie, which was co-authored by Sinaee and Farrokhnejad, also received a Crystal Simorgh for Best Original Screenplay.

This talented actor received critics acclaim for his play in 'The Purple' (2004).

Farrokhnejad has also appeared in many films and series including 'Heart of Ice', 'Low Heights', 'Big Drum Under the Left Foot', 'Fireworks Wednesday', 'Yasin', 'The Green Ring', ‘Habib’, and 'The Married Life of Mr. Mahmoudi and His Spouse'.
